He has a Masters degree in law and is an experienced Advocate of the courts of judicature who has also previously lectured Corporate and Business law in leading business institutions in Uganda and Rwanda. Richard has specialized in transactional Corporate and Commercial work across various industries but focusing on Banking & Corporate Finance, Securitization, Debt & Equity Finance, and Real Estate & Conveyancing. He has handled several large corporate transactions for the Firm in his areas of practice. Since 2017, IFLR 1000: The Guide to the World’s Leading Financial Law Firms has ranked Richard as a Leading Lawyer in Banking, Financial Services Regulatory, Investment Funds, Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity, and Project Finance. Richard is viewed by the clients he serves as highly astute, responsive, incredibly hardworking, trusted, commercially minded with a good knowledge of the market, approachable and always available. He has a passion for his field and enjoys the satisfaction of seeing his clients succeed. Richard heads the Firm’s Corporate and Commercial practice, and is a respected member of the Uganda Law Society and the East Africa Law Society.

Mulema Mukasa is a founding Partner of the Firm. He has practiced law for more than 20 years. He has specialized in civil and commercial litigation and handled a range of major civil and commercial matters. Mulema has a passionate desire for excellence and a keen eye for detail.

David is a founding Partner of the Firm. He has specialized in Civil & Commercial Litigation. David has been in legal practice for more than 20 years, during which he has handled major cases, and honed his skills in litigation and dispute resolution.
